Join me for a one-day writing course for mothers exploring themes of motherhood, and how we write about motherhood.
Think back to how you felt when you first became a mother, or how your children have changed now they’re older, and the time that’s passed. Together, we will share our unique stories; good and bad, trying, dreadful, wonderful, or indifferent – and openly discuss our individual journeys, and where we are now on that journey.
During the course of the day, I will take you through a series of free cathartic writing sessions and group sharing. These will be followed by craft-based exercises designed to shape the work, and give it direction – though by no means will we come away with fully finished pieces! Like motherhood itself, writing is a journey. This workshop will be the start of the mother writer’s journey to tackling her subject. A way forward into a new phase in your creative life.
