Helen produces choreography for dance and theatre, with a particular interest in cross-discipline movement, and the use of language and text. Choreographic works include ‘Last Act’, performed as part of the Birmingham Literature Festival; ‘Marina’ a solo work devised and performed at The Southbank Centre; and ‘Beyond Words‘, a commissioned piece combining contemporary dance and sign language, and performed as part of The Birmingham Weekender Festival (2017).

Helen has been awarded support by Arts Council England on three major theatre and dance projects, including a new piece on violence and the human condition The Darlaston Dog Fight showcased at The Arena Theatre in March 2018. She worked as movement director on a community-based production, I’d Do It All Again with MAT, touring from June 2018. She is currently developing a new solo piece for film ‘Naked’, based on themes from her debut collection of poems ‘Unable Mother’.
